Terms of Service

Version 0.5 (beta) · Effective 23 August 2026 · Oscilla Lab is operated by TOKEN ESTATE LLP (Singapore)

Beta draft. These terms are in effect during the beta and are undergoing formal legal review; an updated version may replace them. Material changes will be announced on this page.

1. What Oscilla Lab is — and is not

Oscilla Lab ("OL", "we") provides software tools and impersonal data publications for research, testing and education: a strategy catalog, backtesting and paper-testing sandbox, subscription management, and an open-source local bridge program.

We are not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, fund manager, or financial institution. We do not provide investment, financial, legal or tax advice; do not hold, pool, transmit or manage user funds; and do not execute trades. Any order execution happens exclusively through software running on your computer, connected to your own brokerage account, under configuration you control.

2. Signals are impersonal

Every subscriber to a strategy slot receives the same uncustomized, mechanical signal. Nothing on the platform is tailored to your circumstances, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Past performance, including system-generated backtests, does not predict future results.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email (or sign in via a supported identity provider), be at least 18, and use the service only where lawful. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to access others' data or code, or use the platform for unlawful activity.

4. Subscriptions and billing

5. Credits (legacy OL tokens)

Tokens are no longer sold. Oscilla Lab previously sold prepaid utility tokens; strategy slots now bill as ordinary monthly subscriptions (section 4). The app now labels these units "credits" — small amounts are also granted as activity rewards and meter optional AI features. Balances are honoured as follows:

6. The local bridge and your broker

The bridge is open-source software that runs on your machine, receives your slots' signals, and (where an adapter is available) submits orders to your own local broker gateway. Your broker credentials and API keys never reach our servers. You are solely responsible for: your brokerage relationship and its terms, the allocations and limits you configure, keeping the bridge and gateway running, and all trading outcomes. Software can fail, signals can be delayed or lost, and connectivity can break; do not allocate funds you cannot afford to lose.

Community price-agreement reports. By default, OL Desktop compares your broker's prices against Oscilla Lab's at the moments a listing you subscribe to entered, and sends Oscilla Lab a small set of aggregate numbers (median, worst and regular-hours gap, sample count, broker name, a series fingerprint) — never price bars, quotes, positions or orders. These are published on the listing as a per-broker distribution across reporting peers, are an integrity signal only and never a recommendation, and may be excluded from a summary when they sit far from the other reports for the same broker. You may switch reporting off in OL Desktop at any time. You are responsible for ensuring this use is permitted under your own broker's data terms; the report is designed so no market data can be reconstructed from it.

7. Author program

8. Referral program

Users may share a referral link and earn 15% of the payments made by referred users — subscription charges and, historically, token purchases — during the referred user's first 12 months. Self-referrals, spam, misleading promotion (including any suggestion of guaranteed profits), and paid-search bidding on our brand are prohibited and forfeit commissions. Payouts are processed periodically to a payment method we support; we may withhold payouts pending fraud review.

9. Fees and payments

Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment providers (Stripe) and billed in USD; historical token bundles may have been billed in SGD. We do not store your card details. Taxes, where applicable, are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

10. Acceptable use

No reverse-engineering of strategist code or signals for republication; no reselling or rebroadcasting signals outside your own accounts; no scraping, probing, or interfering with the service; no use where prohibited by your local law. We may geo-restrict availability.

11. Risk disclosure

Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Leveraged and volatile instruments can lose value rapidly. Automated execution can amplify losses. You alone decide whether to act on any signal by configuring and running the bridge. Nothing here or on the platform constitutes advice or an assurance of performance.

12. Data & privacy (summary)

We store: your email, sign-in metadata, the configuration you enter (slots, allocations), credit and ledger records, and bridge pairing status. We deliberately do not collect broker credentials, account balances, positions, or holdings. Limited non-personal execution telemetry (e.g. timestamps) may be logged for diagnostics and platform integrity. If you leave community price-agreement reporting on in OL Desktop, we also receive the aggregate numbers described in section 6. We do not sell personal data. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

The assistant, and images you choose to send it. Your messages to the in-app assistant are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a reply, and your conversation is stored so it continues across the web app, OL Desktop and Telegram (you can clear it at any time). You may optionally attach an image, which is sent to a third-party vision model to be read. An attached image is processed and discarded — we do not store it, and location and device metadata (EXIF) is stripped before it leaves our servers. Because attaching an image is the one way account information could reach us, do not send screenshots showing balances, positions, or account numbers: our undertaking above not to collect that information cannot protect data you deliberately send us in a picture. Reading an image consumes credits.

13. Disclaimers and liability

Backtests and signals are computed on Oscilla Lab's own data feed. Your broker's chart may occasionally differ from that feed, and live trading results will differ from backtests and from signals as displayed: broker commissions and fees, slippage, spreads and fill timing are not simulated and are borne entirely by you.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claims arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your use of the service.

14. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, fraud, or legal risk. On termination, active subscriptions are cancelled and no further charges are made. On termination for your breach, remaining legacy tokens are forfeited; otherwise we will make reasonable efforts to let you use remaining tokens before closure.

15. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance. Contact: hello@oscillalab.com.
